Posted @withregram • @foodbankcenc @smithfieldfoods Hunger Relief Day at the @ncstatefair N.C. is happening on Thursday, October 24! Bring six items of food to donate and get free admission to the fair.

This year all the food donated on this day will be sent to western North Carolina to support #HurricaneHelene relief efforts. The products listed below are in high demand in for families who may not have regular access to power and cooking fuel. We strongly suggest bringing these products as they are the most helpful right now.

You can also sign up for a volunteer shift and help collect food at one of the gates. This also allows you free admission to the fair that day. Check out our the linktree in our bio for available shifts #NoOneGoesHungry

#1: A cold front starts Monday, bringing colder overnight temperatures in the low 40’s (30’s in higher elevations).

Please include in your donation and supply runs: heavy duty blankets, heavy duty sleeping bags, air activated hand & foot warmers, cold weather clothes for adults, children, and babies (thermals, thick socks, jackets, hats, gloves, fleece face coverings).

#2 Toxic water & mud are dangers to all WNC areas.

Please include PPE equipment in your donations & supply runs for civilians working on clean up. This includes: chemical resistant suits & gloves and respirators.

Just one small section of a larger painting that I am loving and learning from.

Blowing up the sections that I like and understanding why I like them helps me move forward with my paintings. I learned this tip from the amazingly talented @lizmurphystudio, who I admire as much as anyone I studied in art school!

Learning and taking risks, not trying to make pretty art, it's all part of the process. It feeds my soul like nobody knows!

This is it... I'm changing my focus to explore more painting and mixed media artworks... always getting my hands into some clay from time to time, of course.

Painting got me out of the funk and fright of a weird health situation, and I am so grateful to have taken that leap. I pulled myself out of fear and into joy by the simple application of paint to canvas. Now I'm hooked!

I'm rebranding my EarthenBloom account to Valerie Lorraine Artworks.

I hope you all will continue to follow my journey. I'm thankful to each and every one of you who've supported me along the way thus far. 😘
