Just one small section of a larger painting that I am loving and learning from.

Blowing up the sections that I like and understanding why I like them helps me move forward with my paintings. I learned this tip from the amazingly talented @lizmurphystudio, who I admire as much as anyone I studied in art school!

Learning and taking risks, not trying to make pretty art, it's all part of the process. It feeds my soul like nobody knows!

I wake as an artist, I walk through my day as an artist, I crave moment by moment to create...

This is it... I'm changing my focus to explore more painting and mixed media artworks... always getting my hands into some clay from time to time, of course.

Painting got me out of the funk and fright of a weird health situation, and I am so grateful to have taken that leap. I pulled myself out of fear and into joy by the simple application of paint to canvas. Now I'm hooked!

I'm rebranding my EarthenBloom account to Valerie Lorraine Artworks.
